Collector Guidance

Acquisition

Acquiring from Gyre & Wabe is not a generic storefront transaction. Each artifact is issued as a singular work of the house and handled with the expectation that the collector is receiving an authored original, not interchangeable stock.

How acquisition works

Available artifacts are offered through their individual artifact pages. Each listing is tied to a specific named issue, SKU, and registry record. Once acquired, that exact issue leaves the house as a singular original and is not replaced by an identical stock unit.

The collector path is simple: review the artifact page, confirm the issue, acquire the work, and then await fulfillment. The registry entry remains the formal archive reference for that object.

Packaging

What the collector receives

The object is presented as an issue of the house, not as loose retail product.

Artifacts are prepared with collector presentation in mind. Packaging may include the issued set itself, house literature, registry-aligned identification, and supporting presentation elements that reinforce the object’s standing within the archive.

Because the house is small and the work is handled directly, packaging details may evolve over time without changing the artifact’s authenticity or registry standing.

Shipping

Fulfillment is handled with care, not volume logic.

Orders are prepared at personal scale. That means handling is deliberate, packaging is considered, and dispatch timing may reflect the fact that Gyre & Wabe is a house built by hand rather than a mass-fulfillment operation.

Collector Expectations

What acquisition does and does not mean

Acquisition secures the issued artifact shown on its page. It does not imply infinite remakes, future duplication, or industrial consistency across repeated units, because the house does not operate on a generic stock model.

Minor distinctions of presentation, packaging evolution, or archival phrasing may occur over time. What remains fixed is the identity of the issue: its name, SKU, registry standing, and position as an authenticated original of the house.

Policy Position

Returns, damage, and issue handling

Because each work is singular, resolution is handled case by case.

If a package arrives damaged or there is a fulfillment problem, the collector should contact the house directly and include the relevant order details and photos where appropriate. The house will review the situation and determine the proper response.

As a default principle, one-of-one artifacts should be understood as collector objects issued in limited singularity. Broad retail-style replacement assumptions do not automatically apply.

House Standard

Acquisition is the transfer of a singular issued object.

That is the principle behind every collector transaction at Gyre & Wabe: one artifact, one registry identity, one place in the archive.
